Venezuela’s Supreme Court on Saturday named Vice President Delcy Rodriguez interim president following the United States’ arrest of Nicolas Maduro, currently being held in a New York detention center. US President Donald Trump has said Washington will lead the country until a “safe” transition can take place, sparking fears of a power vacuum.
