FRIDAY

Wrexham v Nottingham Forest (7:30 p.m.)
Can the North Wales club’s rise to prominence continue with the giant assassination of two-time winners Nottingham Forest? The visitors’ focus will be on surviving the Premier League.

SATURDAY

Macclesfield v Crystal Palace (12:15 p.m.)
Undoubtedly the most romantic match of the weekend with the Phoenix club formed from the ashes of Macclesfield Town hosting the cup holders. It’s the National League North versus the Premier League.

Tottenham v Aston Villa (5:45 p.m.)
These two clubs have 15 FA Cup titles between them, but neither have been victorious since Spurs lifted the trophy in 1991. Thomas Frank would love to repeat to ease the mounting pressure. Villa supporters say the FA Cup is a priority given the last time they won it was in 1957.

Charlton v Chelsea (8 p.m.)
Liam Rosenior will take charge Chelsea for the first time and will be desperate to avoid a cup clash on their debut. Charlton are in poor form in the league and the visitors are expected to have too much.

SUNDAY

Derby v Leeds (12 p.m.)
Clubs have struggled recently after spygate in 2019, but Leeds are currently outclassing their East Midlands rivals. Derby have won just two of their last nine championships and sit in 13th place after a strong start.

Portsmouth v Arsenal (2 p.m.)
Premier League leaders Arsenal will travel to Fratton Park believing a domestic treble is possible given they are also in the EFL Cup semi-finals. The Gunners look unstoppable and, even if Mikel Arteta makes changes, will pose a stern test for a Pompey side beaten 5-0 at Bristol City last time out.

Manchester United v Brighton (4:30 p.m.)
Darren Fletcher’s first game in charge of United ended in a draw at Burnley despite a much-improved performance. The Scot will also be in the dugout for the visit of the Seagulls on Sunday. It is a second trip to Manchester in five days for Brighton, who drew 1-1 at the Etihad on Wednesday.

MONDAY

Liverpool v Barnsley (7:45 p.m.)
A slightly confusing choice for the live broadcast sees League One strugglers Barnsley head to Merseyside. Arne Slot’s men are out of the EFL Cup and will not win the Premier League. They will see the FA Cup as a real opportunity.
