Manchester City will host Exeter City tomorrow in the FA Cup. Read our detailed overview here…
Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola says new signing Antoine Semenyo is available for selection and could feature in tomorrow’s FA Cup third round with Exeter City.
Semenyo completed his £65million move from Bournemouth to the Etihad this morning and enters directly into the team for the clash with the Greeks.
“He is in contention to be selected,” Guardiola said. “I don’t know if he will start or not, but he will be selected, that’s for sure.”

City continue to spend huge sums on their players while awaiting an independent commission’s verdict on 115 accusations of financial wrongdoing. The club denies any wrongdoing.
Guardiola added: “Everyone knows their [Semenyo’s] qualities, right? He played extraordinarily at Bournemouth and can play on both sides – right, left – and he uses both legs unbelievably. As a striker he can also play, with his pace, and he knows the Premier League.
“A lot of clubs wanted him and he decided to join us. All I can say is thanks to him.”
Exeter will make the long journey north supported by almost 8,000 fans.
Boss Gary Caldwell has overseen a decent run of one defeat in his last five games, including wins against Barnsley and Luton. And the Scot says his team’s preparation will be no different tomorrow despite the increased quality of the opposition.
“We approach it the same way as any other game” Caldwell told the club’s official website. “The analysts watch us and give us a report on the team. We watch the games – myself and the staff get together and decide how to approach the game and our game plan and we put that into training.
“The preparations don’t change, but obviously the outside world wants to know more about us as a football club this week, which means we can tell our unique story – but the process remains the same.”
Guardiola will likely make significant changes for the match, although his hands are tied defensively with players like John Stones, Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol all absent.
Exeter will be without captain Pierce Sweeney due to suspension.
